Why so many MS posts?

I have been viewing various RV forums for 3+ years and am amazed at the number of posts, at least on this forum, by MS owners. I know that other makes have their own forums but have not viewed them, so maybe it isn't really unusual that MS owners are so vocal. Anybody have any ideas why MS owners are so vocal?

Couple more weeks and we'll have ours so I'll have a chance to see what problems, if any, that we have. I am fairly pragmatic. Being a retired Helicopter pilot, I know something is going to go wrong. Just not what, when or where! So if something minor goes wrong, oh well. Stuff happens. So long as it doesn't involve our dogs, my beer or my DW's wine, no biggee. If it is easier for me to fix, vs taking to a dealer I'll "Git R done!".

More to come on my transition to the MS.

Let me wish you an advanced welcome to the MS family. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed our home for the past 21 months.

This is a great forum for information and sometimes entertainment!!

Kinda like eat'in at the ole diner here, we got some hamburgers and some weiners!! But it's all good stuff.

Happy Travel'n

I think the reason is that the MS brand is relatively new. When this forum started we were "talking" on Yahoo groups and most of us moved here because it's an easier format. It's much like the HDT group on the SKP forum. We talk and meet etc because we see ourselves as a unique group. As the MS brand gets older an we see MS's everywhere this will, IMHO, change. Having been fulltime for over 11 years and meeting many RVers with every brand, I don't think there are more post here because we have more or different problems than other brands. This is my 3rd full time trailer and after we bought the big truck I felt we could now have any brand trailer we wanted. We looked at them all and picked the MS. I've seen nothing in the intervening time that would make me change that decision.

When we went shopping to replace our previous trailer we decided to go all out and buy something we intended to keep for many years. We spent 2 years looking on dealer lots, visiting factories, and rv shows. Our trailer choices were narrowed down to Teton, Newmar, and Mobile Suites. We were also very close to making an offer on a new diesel pusher. That was until I saw people pulling with HDTs and decided that's what I wanted to do. It was unique. So, back to looking at 5th wheels.

Tetons are nice but I did not want a wood frame. Newmars are nice but they run the frame right through the basement creating a saddle that consumes storage space. Mobile Suites offered the best all-around package.

We are very happy with Mobile Suites. Problems? Zero. Factory support? Excellent. Dealer support? I wouldn't know. Have never had the trailer in for any type of service.

I hope your trailer will be as problem-free as ours and many others have been. If you do have some issues please don't turn into an unhappy, bitter old man.

I'll give you my opinion on "Why so many posts."

It seems like Suite owners include quite a few fulltimers, who also have some exerience with other brands. Most like us, have done their homework & are pleased with their choice.

As fulltimers, you see the "Good, Bad & Ugly" first hand & more often. So it's nice to share experiences & encourage others to work through their issues.

I have looked at a few other brand forums. They have numerous questions & issues as well. But they aren't as entertaining!

I am always comparing brands. In fact, I have an ongoing spreadsheet on Fulltiming units with specs, features & options. I use these to determine what we'll need on our next 5er. Know for sure we consider DoubleTree products at the top of our list when it's time to trade.

47hook,

You can also find many of us stopping by here: http://www.suitesowners.com/index.php

If you are a retired 47 driver, did you ever get any time in the 101st Airborne? At Campbell? Some of my best years were with C/2/17 Cav.

Thanks for all the replies and welcome. And, yes I am/was a hook driver but never got to Campbell.

Want to say thanks to all who have served and to those on active duty now. Also to all the "first responders" that likewise risk their lives for others...

On a lighter note, yeeehaaa...can't wait...should have our new home away from home first part of May. Then on to Lake Tahoe for a week or so...

Enjoy, y'all...

BobW, was trying to be funny. Usually do a better job of it before the second 6 pack. So far I'm impressed with this forum and the folks on it. I actually read about 95+% of all posts. Copied a lot of good info as to what to look for and how to fix stuff. And you can call me plane ol' "hook" ifn y'all want too!

Enjoy...

Hook:
Going back to your original thread intent: I guess you've got your answer on the volume of posts - - it's just plain fun! These folks roast you when needed but also know when to forgive and forget (thank God) so it's always a hoot to see where a thread will end up.
