Help with duo therm AC

Curious as to why our AC fan starts when furnace is on. Have Honeywell digital thermometer with only options for fan are on or auto.

Any reason why AC fan should start when furnace kicks on?

Hoping for not crazy detailed answers as I am not very handy with wiring and electric.

Thanks

Do you have an option to turn AC OFF? Have you tried both ON and AUTO fan settings to see if either works differently?

Also, welcome to the forum.

AC is off. Just heat is on with fan set to auto. Don’t have an off option
