Hi, I am new to the forum. My husband and I purchased a used 2004 DVR and we have some questions about it. Looking for some help. Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I have a 2005 36TK3--if I can be of any help, just ask.

2003 was the first model year, 2004 is certainly near the earliest. Perhaps the main difference after 2004 is the slide power changed from electric to hydraulic. Have you had any problems pop up?

Joe

We replaced the track light over the kitchen sink. The person we bought it from had disconnected it because it wasn't working. But still no luck, and we are not sure which switch even works the light!

If your '04 is like my '05, the switch is on the right side of the door--ours is in the upper pair (lower pair controls the porch/step lights) and is on the left side.
Are you handy with the use of a meter that can check for power? I would disconnect from power (since you don't know which switch is which) and pull the pair of switches out from the wall to check the wire connections--most of these switches are simply wires placed in a contact area that cuts the insulation, rather than use a screw for the contact. Make sure all the wires are in contact with the metal surfaces. Or, you can replace the switch with a regular house switch.
Have you checked the circuit breaker box to be sure there are no tripped breakers?
My track light quit working soon after I bought it used, and I found out the problem was in the box area where the track gets power.
