New DRV
Hi everyone!! New Here! We bought a 2015 DRV last winter, what a beautiful trailer. Was so glad to get it home.
When we bought in Feb, the trailer was fully winterized. We were going to have the dealership delivery it up north, but decided it was cheaper to have our driver go down and pick it up. Well it turns out that DRV's policy is to check all the water lines before leaving the dealership( great policy) however, they didn't re winterize the trailer for the north country. The lines all froze!!
They claim it's our fault for not putting it on paper that it needs to be winterized. But, when we seen it, it was winterized, how are we suppose to know about their policy. They knew it was going north.
Also, had some other issues, they claim DRV is sending out the parts. It's been a month, I called DRV they never even ordered the parts.
Really NOT impressed with this dealership!! Are all dealerships like this? Make the sale then it's bye bye, we have your money see you later, attitude.

Sorry about your problems. Sounds like your dealer is the source--once you get all this sorted out and repaired, you should have a very nice unit. And, of course, remember all this next winter...

Am curious as to what state the dealer is in. Because this has been a very bad Winter in almost every state except Florida. We purchased a TC in OH and they rewinterized after checking everything. Of course, we picked it up in March when it was -14d.
Talking to our Suite dealer last weekend, while getting parts changed out, Heartland ownership has changed more for the dealers than the customers. As part of a much larger corporation, month-end and quarterly #'s ($) are the most critical to Heartland. management.
So there will be some growing pains, which may include parts delays, as they continue to change to conform with new policy.

Don't ya just hate it when common sense has gone out the window. I would be all over the dealerships upper management about their failure to do what should have been done after THEY de-winterized the trailer. Then to tell you parts were ordered and you find them not telling the truth. I've gotten to a point in my life where I no longer tolerate lies, or not doing the right thing. And to answer your question, no not all dealers are like that. I would be posting the name of the ( your) dealership so we all know who your talking about. Word travels fast on these forums and if loosing sales is what it takes to get them to fix the issue, so be it.

You would be helping us all by telling us the name of the dealership so we do not fall prey to them. Today remember the customer has more rights than ever before

Update, got it repaired at our cost, still waiting on parts that broke in delivery, that was March, begining to think the parts aren't coming! Also the septic was also leaking, what a mess, got that finally fixed as well. Really sucks buying a new trailer and have all these problems, Still have to find a solution to the Anderson 200 four position fill station problem. Water comes out the vent on each setting. Works fine will holding tank and pump all though the water pressure is barely enough for a shower. It seems to fill the tank on each of the settings. Must be a valve not working but not sure which one it is.
Any help would be appreciated as the dealership is of no help.
Dealership is Southern RV, (they have our money now they don't care)

In the decade plus that we've been full timing I have never hooked up to city service... It was our first big adventure!... 2004/5 to Quartzsite AZ and extended stay!
I had a 3 filter filter system, (home built) to protect our water system!...This was one of those times that "It's what you learn!.. After you know it all!.. That counts!"...
And I learned that first tank full of hot, sulfur, super mineralized, and corrosive desert springs of hell called water!... That!...What I was doing!...Wasn't working!
Before that first tank was used, (we drank bottled h2o) a couple showers, sink & head use, it was my second shower that had me running for a water specialist in the Q! ...I swear!... I was cleaner before the shower than after! My hair felt gritty & dirty, the shower door, (glass) was nearly opaque!..Calcium was accumulating like glue around fixtures!....Anyway!..It was horrible! ..... Not in Q or in business any longer, The Water Source installed a fully automatic R/O system in our DP! ... I drained what was left in the tank and it has never held any water that hasn't gone through the r/o system since! ... We also started drinking the water after about 500 gallons used!
You can probably tell, I'm sold on R/O! So when we stepped into our new 38rssa (delivered to our winter spot) we didn't use it until I had R/O filling the tank!
Anyway!... you have warranty on your rig!... Get ahold of DRV and let them know how your dealer in treating you. Find a good RV service, a mobile service, someone legit to work on your rig!... Make a list of things that need done, what you had to do at your expense, and call DRV back. Tell them you've found a mobile, or legit RV service center, and see if they will work with them, (they do with friends of ours that bought at the same time) and get you taken care of!

Here's a link to a document from the Heartland forum covering the Anderson valve. maybe your valve was plumbed incorrectly.
