I'm aware they no longer make this pin hitch.
Mine hasn't totally broken yet. Left front and right rear pivot pins have broken. I'm having a welder come out tomorrow and weld the lower slide area to the upper side.
I know you can buy a complete new replacement.
As you can see by my pictures that wouldn't work.

My question is has anyone bought just the lower jaw of the new style and replaced it only?

If you call Lippert, they will ship you the bottom piece for free... All they will ask is for you to send some pictures I believe.... They will probably send the lower portion of the new and "improved" FLEX AIR as their Tri-Glide was riddled with claims and since dropped.

Just make sure you say YES when they ask if you have greased all 6 fittings

I dropped BOTH and went with the Morryde...

Mike,

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't understand the "pivot pins" that you are referring to in your post. Where are the "pins" located? We have a TrailAir system with Tri-Glide on our 2010 Mobile Suites. We've not had any problems, but then, we've not towed our MS as much as most people have with their DRV's.

Here is a picture of ours as it was when we picked it up at the dealer's.

If there is a real issue with the TrailAir system, maybe I need to get in contact with Lippert, although I think ours came out before Lippert got TrailAir

Pins wasn't a good description.
If you look behind each of the grease fittings
You will see the pivot area as the bottom plate moves.
If while in either position you can take a flat screw driver and move it than that means it's broken from the pin that goes to the opposite side.

Here is the fix for now until I get home in a month in a half.

Contact Lippert they will send you a new unit without the TriGlide portion.

That's my plan once I get home. Only need a new bottom jaw. If you check out my pictures there is no way I can get to the top bolts to replace the whole thing. Top part is fine anyway.

Terry, I think you are correct that the Tri-Glide was a great King Pin until Lippert got a hold of it. Had a Trail Air on our 2012 Redwood and loved it, so ordered the same for our 2016 Redwood. What a mistake, all it did was bang back and forth, so scraped it and installed a MORryde King Pin.

Check the tag on the right side of the pin. The one above the large silver one that has Hydraulic Landing Gear.
It will have the serial number and MFG date.
Mine was built 8/25/10 and it's a L.C.I.
