Welding to the rear frame

Does anyone know if welding to the rear frame of a new 5th wheel cause the warranty to be void or possibly create any issues? Thanks!

A lot of that will depend on what your warranty actually says. If a problem with your rig is unrelated to the welding job, ie the front cap fell off, I doubt there is much the factory has to complain about. On the other hand if the rear of the frame buckles near the weling joints because the frame was heated beyond it's ability to maintain structural integrity you probably will have a rel big issue.

YES EXACTLY,When you add your gussets bevel your plates for a multi pass weld good luck and also good sketch very helpful in understanding your design.
