I have a suburban water heater that's both elec and gas,it was working when I parked it 4 yrs ago now nothing works elec or gas, switch inside of camper reads reset and the light wont go out,i would think I should have one or the other:(

It has been sitting without any use for 4 years? Could be any number of things, including rodents chewing wires. Need to check for power at the heater...

"suburban hot water heater troubleshooting"

Use those words in google. Several manuals and videos. Best combo of words for what you want. also comes up with some others if you skip "hot" which I agree with, if it was already hot you wouldn't need a heater. Water heater vs Hot water heater.

The 10 gal Suburban heaters have an on/off switch in the bottom left corner, normally behind the gas tubes. If this switch is not exercised/lubed on a regular basis, they tend to quit working due to rust buildup on the internal contacts/rocker shaft.
