Tires for towing

Kind of a vague question--on the tow vehicle or on the trailer? Usually if a tire is rated for the weight, fits the rim and the wheel opening, should be ok.

I'd agree with wingnut60. Everyone's requirements are different. From my yrs. of towing I prefer a highway tread, but then "street is neat". YMMV
Just remember oversized tires can effect your overall TV gear ratio and could have more sidewall flex leading to a different feel. Some note "wallowing" in some conditions and loads.
Happy Trails.

One other thing--Light Truck (LT) tires ok for trailer, but Special Trailer (ST) not for use on the tow vehicle. Mickey Thompson tires probably are mostly LT type.
