Finally got my trailer home, but don't have a 50 amp hookup for my trailer yet. Is there an adapter that will go down to a 120 volt outlet where I can keep my batteries charged, or is it better to get aa Genius Battery charger and hook it up direct to the 120 volt?

Your neighborhood RV dealer will have the dog-bone style step down piece that you need. If They don't have the 50 AMP to 15 AMP then you may have to buy a 50 to 30 and then a 30 to 15. Big box hardware stores sometimes carry these as do Walmarts in high RV traffic areas.

I found it in Amazon for $15. I like the idea of keeping the battery charged using the converter, than running an extension chord and battery charger through the door. This time of year mice are terrible, so I don't need another access point.

Biker, read his first post. He wanted to reduce his 50 amp to the house receptacle. The dogbone he ordered did the trick.

While I agree, the problem is, I think the converter is DOA. Battery kept going down even hooked up. Put the charger on and over night the batteries were at the top! Got a new converter ordered.
