Keeping compartment doors open

On windy days, my basement compartment doors keep blowing closed when I leave them open. I haven't been hit yet by a slamming door but it's just a matter of time. I'm curious what others do to keep compartment doors from slamming shut unexpectantly.

Might consider changing to stronger gas struts, but since my '05 doesn't have slam-latch doors, not sure that would work.
