Hello,
I'm new here, so please forgive me id this has been asked. I've looked a bit, but I couldn't find an answer to my specific question, so here goes.

My husband and I intended to sell our home this summer, buy a 5th wheel, upgrade to a 450, and travel with our 3 children, large dog, and elderly cat for about a year. Then we found out we were expecting again.

So, the question: what tow vehicle comfortably fits 6 passengers and a large dog? Also, how crazy is it to be traveling during the 8-9months pregnant stage and the newborn stage?

Well that’s a tall order! I won’t discourage you in these plans, but I expect there will be times when you will wonder why you ever made the decision. There will also be many times of great memory making and adventure. I assume you are looking at the larger end of the 5th wheel market, 40 plus feet. I think of YouTubers Less Junk More Journey, who have 2 kids and just changed to a big 5th wheel. As for the tow vehicle, with a large trailer you are definitely into a large dually, such as the F450 you indicate. But 3 kids, a dog, a cat & a baby? I suggest putting the 3 kids in the trailer, and when they fight with each other, you won’t know it! Just joking!! You might want to look into a custom hauler with extra seating, maybe something in the Freightliner Sport Chassis medium duty truck area. That’s as much as I know about larger tow vehicles. I hope it all goes well for you!

I should also say congrats on child #4; somebody famous once said children are a gift from God. Also, you may find you want to continue with the full time RVing after that year has past.

My first question would be have you RVed in the past?
A toy hauler would be able sleep all six of you. Living in one full time with four kids and their stuff?
Biggest problem would be a tow vehicle that all of you would fit in. How about car seats, kids need those.
Tow vehicle would be your only transportation and shopping to park one ?
I hope I don't sound too negative but these are things to consider.

I'm not a full-time RVer but wife and I grew up RVing. Have done it with our kids since 1985. We do leave in the summer time to visit our daughter and grandkids in South Dakota.
