INSURANCE Are you covered? R U sure??

OH, And not to cause anxiety. Allstate is very good in claims for auto and home owners. We had excellent response, they pay right away!

Here’s the breakdown of my coverages. I do not own a home or rent an apartment.
Full coverage on my truck which also extends liability coverage to my fifth wheel when I’m towing. $1048 a year.
Full timers policy on my DRV which covers liability when parked (in case Lil Billy from the next campsite runs under my fifth wheel and splits his head open on my kingpin for example). It also covers comprehensive (fire, theft etc.) collision (hitting something, tree falling on it, etc.) emergency living expense (just like homeowners) and replacement of personal effects (clothes, linens, dishes, etc. $1504 a year.
Plus an umbrella policy. Couple hundred bucks, don’t remember exactly.
I get it all from the same company which should simplify things if I have to file a claim which I hope I never do.
I want in on that action. Love the idea of having it all under one company. Can I ask which company it is?

My State Farm coverage is similar to OneReallyOldGuy.

While towing:
Trailer liability: Comes from Truck's policy
Trailer Comp/collision: Comes from RV policy

While not towing:
Trailer Liability: comes from either Home policy or personal umbrella
Trailer Comp/collision: comes from RV Policy

My RV policy specifically states there is NO LIABILITY coverage.

That said, my agent did warn me of this--since the liability is covered by the tow vehicle, be sure you know the limits of any vehicle who could potentially tow your trailer (ie,your kids, your friends in case you let them use your trailer, etc, your buddies who tow your rig in an emergency). He suggested a towing service is the best bet if you can't tow it yourself.

After reading my policy, I wanted to mention there is virtually no coverage if you rent your trailer to someone.

Thanks...I just spent 2 hours reading documents. I will also call to verify, but I believe I have Comprehensive coverage on my RV, and contents coverage. I will need to ask my USAA about coverage when rolling down the road. I may have dual coverage.
