has anyone installed this new model? WE are having in house debate about installing this in the the new ES 36tk3

I haven't used an installed Honda. I have used an Onan and Honda portables. I would depend on the Honda brand far more than any other. That is a rather large gen set and will provide more than you use from shore power. Are you planning on lighting up other campers as well as yourself? :)

i really don't want this monster. it is the new EU6500..DH thinks it is a must have. we have 2 15000 ACs....but i don't think we would neeed to run both...lots of fuel...i would rather move to a park if that is necessary! maybe one air, micro etc. would be okay. HOnda 3000 is nice because of the remote start..but we have one EU2000..I'm thinking add another one if we need to. Anyone else with an opinion?

I'd get a second Honda 2000 before I tried the big gen set. The 2 Hondas will be able to run an AC and the microwave at the same time.

an oldie thread - but worth the update. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong w/ a 240v Honda, or other such sine wave gen set. JEEEZ. Sorry to be captain obvious, but SOME of us have more than one AC, while running a microwave, lights, Sat Dish TV's, Dash cam's. dual battery chargers etc. You like your little 120v setups? They're working fine? That's wonderful. But don't downplay the ability of a 240V system that lets you plug into shor powr & be off grid & still be able to run 2 AC's w/ lots of other stuff. Or, in the alternative, don't dry camp in the high humidity uber hot deep south or southwest. Every one has their individual priorities, right?
the beauty of the 6500 (or similar) gen set is you're no longer restricted to 120v nor 4Kw. You can run near 50 amps w/ your 5th wheel effortlessly w/out the worry of over speeds or genset disconects.
