If you're ever out west, traveling on I-10 and want to bypass the hustle and bustle of the busy El Paso downtown area, there is a bypass called loop-375. It's very picturesque with its reddish/pink highway. The viewing areas are large with restrooms. We had no problem finding a place to put our rig.
The CA aqueduct system is vast and carries water throughout central and southern CA. Here is a section built to go over the mountain and down into southern CA.
While living aboard the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, CA we fished a section of the system that averaged 30 – 35’ deep water. The primary fish were black bass, stripers and blue catfish. All had grown to very eatable sizes.
We have traveled many state and rural highways. This trip up through the middle of Indiana in the late spring was very beautiful. The highway was in excellent condition with ample pull-offs along the way.
Be careful when selecting your routes out of Canada. We were planning a week stay in Minot, ND and decided to use CDN highway 9 to link up with US-52 in ND. About 8 miles from the border this is what we had to travel on.
Foot note: Firearms into Canada is a "no-no". Just before entering we insured and shipped our ammo and clips in one box and the handguns in another box to a general delivery box at Minot, ND.
When we broke camp to move on to the next stop, we always did so early on a Sunday morning if we were going to have to travel through a large, busy city.
