What is the advantage to installing a connector in the bed near the 5th wheel hitch? My truck is factory equipped with a connector on the rear, works fine. Is the only advantage not having a cable over the tailgate?

Thanks

Check your turning radius to make sure the cable won't be too short and pull out in a tight 90 degree turn like whan you back into a spot. You may also need to do something to keep the cable from rubbing on the tailgate and or bumper to keep from taking paint off of the truck or wearing through the insulation on the cable. If there are no problems like that you're probably going to be fine with it as it is.
