It doesn't appear that this forum is visited very often, or at least there are not many posts. I am the new owner of a Cameo F35FD3 and have lots of questions. I won't bother if no one reads the forum. MIKE

cameo discussions

With only one or two threads in each year, it would not seem that many Cameo owners frequent this forum--maybe it will pickup some if you ask a question.
The majority of contributions are from Doubletree owners and tow vehicle owners.
But, welcome, and hope you get some interest.

If your questions are of the more generic type you can likely still get some answers for them. Ask away.

Here goes:

How can you tell who manufactured the slide out mechanisms? One of mine needs a slight adjusting and I need to know the manufacturer before I can seek a manual.

Can you stay comfortable in the summer with only one A/C unit on a 35 foot rig?

With the refrigerator on the slideout, have you had any problems with it staying cold enough or have you had to install a fan in the outside compartment?

thanks, MIKE

To answer a few of your questions. Start with Carriage factory for manuals, etc. We took the Carriage Factory Tour in July of 2008. They were more than helpful to owners.

One AC in a longer RV can work, but it depends on the area you're in. We couldn't manage with one AC in a 40' Open Road in the Southern US. It kept freezing up on us because it had to run continuously in FL and SC.

That's why we went to a Suite, since we never know where we'll be from Season to Season.

Chances are that the frame was manufactured by Lippert. They do most of the industry's frames. You'll have to look over your documentation and or contact a dealer to confirm it.

Carriage built their own frames. the slides are gear operated with electric motors. If your having trouble, contact Fox RV repair in Middleberry, IN. You might also contact someone at Lifestyle RV. Alco provided the motors and gears. If you still can't find any info let me know.

If your getting gear slip, there are screws on the motor that may have come loose and allowed the motor and gears to not mesh properly. If thats your problem PM me.

The last post on this was about 6 years ago. Pretty sure by now that original question has be answered...there are a lot of old posts on this site.
