Broken valve on outside control panel!

I have a 2006 King of the Road Royal Villa. I'm slowly trying to upgrade everything in the trailer.

While checking things out, one valve that fills the potable water tank broke off flush! Being an old trailer and I'm sure no one makes the valve anymore, I'll have to improvise. It's all plumbed in Pex which I like and I prefer to change any valves I can to brass or stainless ball valves. The problem is trying to use them on the control board. Is there one style that can be fastened to my set up!

Dan, I seem to recall seeing some ball valves with Pex connections at Lowes a while back that might be usable. Getting the old valves out and new ones in may require removing the 2 vertical wood braces on the backside to allow you to maneuver the lines around for removal, getting the new valves in place and so you can get the Pex crimp tool positioned properly to do its job. Once the valves are in place and wood braces in back in, the Pex should be rigid enough to not allow much, if any, movement when you open and close the valves.

I'll maybe try this weekend if its warm and dry. I'm upgrading everything in the trailer and this is on my bucket list! Id prefer going with brass ball valves, but I may have found a direct replacement! I hope the pex holds it in place like you say. It is stiff, but the other valves seem pretty secure so they may have some other anchoring! Won't know till I get the face plate off!

I ordered two of these and they look like metal versions of the ones you have. I noticed reviewers had the same experience. I used them for low point drains. I have two more arriving today as backups for my panel.

This 10-pack of brass valves I found on Amazon (for $36 with free shipping) might work for you. Since you need one but might also discover the need or desire to replace the other 3 valves on your control panel, this might be worth checking out.

I put one of these on my fresh water drain. In my application they seem to take alot more torque to open and close compared to the oval handled valves. I plan to replace the long handled valve this weekend as it seems to be too much torque on the PEX.

Mine are held in place with very short runs of pex which solves the problem of twisting, but causes other problems joining them back together. If it wasn’t so darn hard I’d replace all 4, but I’ll wait for the others to go out!

I agree your panel in the rear looks like a train wreck, but what I see is easier to fix than mine! The tubing is cut so short which makes it a major problem removing and reinstalling!

It would work, but I prefer the longer handle that gives you more a long fulcrum to turn.
