On my Cougar the driver side basement door can only be raised to 90 degrees. You can’t go higher if the bedroom slide is out. With it in it possible to go to almost 180 degrees. My need I’d how to keep it up. A latch nor a magnet won’t reach out far enough. Any suggestions how I can keep the door in the higher position?

I would look at installing door shocks. My driver side basement door is the same way. DRV,s have shocks on all basement door that raise. They designed them with shock that would allow them to stay at there highest point without hitting the slide or 5th wheel overhang.

A magnetic door stop might work - would give you 4" of extension from the slide. But MTK46 has the right idea, though more expensive. The 'shock' on DRV's is first quality. The one's on our Redwood worked when it was warm - worthless when below 50 degrees.
