Anyone heading to Quartzsite?

This coming weekend kicks off Good Sam's big tent event. Wife & I have been going out to Quartzsite for 15+ years now. Will be heading out with our RV church group from Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel Yucca Valley.

If you have never been to Quartzsite you need to do it once. My understanding is Quartzsite becomes the fourth largest city in Arizona this time of year because of all the RVers.

Not us, but are you staying at one of the LTVAs?

No just going out 18th - 21st. Will be staying in a 14 day area off Dome Rock Rd.

Joe, Shutdown shouldn't effect us at all. In all the years I've been out there never saw a BLM vehicle in the 14 day free camping areas. They just have a volunteer sign up person that you stop by & put you name & state down. Even that is volunteer, not enforced. As there are many 14 day areas you can just move around & stay free.
As the LTVAs are pay ($180 for 9/15/18-4/15/19) shutdown may effect them. I'll see if I can find that out.

Got back from Quartzsite yesterday. Nothing but a 1/4 ing headwind all the way back home 120 miles. Shutdown hasn't effected the LTVas. Still lots of RV's out there.
