Hello everyone,
New to the forum. Am full-time and happier than I ever could have imagined. Not sure which area to post this....

Been full-time since 2013, am still working, but intend to hit the road when reach retirement, hopefully in 5 years.
Long introduction, but might provide the reason for my post...
I do not have slide covers (5) and do not have window awnings. Because I'm stationary for the time being, my awnings and slides remain extended 24-7.
Hate to invest in awnings only for the fabric to fail when I'm ready to hit the road. My class A Tiffin had it, but now that I'm a fiver, I miss them in southern California heat/sun.
What kind of opinions does everyone have on retractable aluminum awnings? Light, retractable, but impervious to sun and heat.
Live to hear what you all think before I buy and install...
Any experience out there?
Pros cons?

Heard mine... LOL.
RVing IS HEAVEN!
Chip

Welcome to the forum...
Have not known of aluminum awnings for RVs. Do they exist? Sounds kind of reasonable that they could be used, but every aluminum awning I have seen was solid, not retractable. This could be an interesting thread/posting.
