08 f250 sc 6.4 short bed 20"wheels,e rated tires
Sticker inside door info states;
tire and loading information
the combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 1806 pounds, tires are michelin lt275/65/20e rated for 3750 each for a total of 15000 lbs. The 1806 is all i can carry,i was planning on a 5th wheel of 11,965 to 12230 lbs, axle weight front states 6000 and 6100 on rear gvwr 10000lbs also have 3.73 gear.
11,965 pin weight is 2520
12230 pin weight is 2500.
Not enough truckor go for it,ileave it in 1 spot 6 months out of the year and then tow it home about 40 miles.then tow it 100 miles 1 way to another campground for a few days and then home.ford say's i can tow 15600lbs im assuming this would be the total weight of tow vehicle and 5th wheel.

You actually need to weigh the truck and get a rear axle weight also. These figures will override the 1806--probably it will be less.
The 15600 is also probably the max wt of a towed vehicle, not including the truck. But, you have to consider the pin weight of a fifth wheel, and that is the problem. You could tow more trailer than you can fifth wheel...
Are the fiver weights you mention 'dry' weights or 'gross' weights? If dry, the problem is even worse for rear axle overloading.
You are also making a mistake in adding the 2 axles together, as the gross weight of you truck is around 10000lbs, not 15000. The real limit is the 2 rear tires at 7500lbs total. This is why you need a scale weight to find out WHAT YOUR TRUCK WILL WEIGH AS YOU INTEND TO USE IT UNDER THE FIVER--people, hitch, firewood, coolers, dogs, etc.
6100 rear axle = most your rear axle should/can weigh, not even the 7500 capacity of the tires. So, weigh the truck and see what is on the rear axle without a trailer, but loaded for a trip. Then, take that from 7500 the tire capacity--that is a much as I would go to traveling overloaded.
Whatever you decide, you will be overloaded on the rear axle, but using it as described might work out, if you travel slow and not very far.
After all the above--welcome to the 5thwheelforums.
Joe

You have 2500lbs left on the axle. If your trailer weight is correct, then you are right at the stated limit--oughta work. Over load the axle, yes; overload the tires NO.
Good luck, let us know if you get it.

Given the same tow vehicle, the longer the trailer, the more it will tend to push the truck.
I really feel the CC is too much trailer for a short bed 250--it will be over the RAWR even empty--no room for anything inside.
Can't find a 3720 BH, only 3750?

We bought the cedar creek, looked at the others and there is no comparison in build and the prices were close but the cc is an outstanding unit,as for the f250 for all we do with it just towing to our summer spot and then to the wine fest i think it will be alright if i feel ucomfortable i shall seek out a used 1 ton drw truck.
