Just bought our second. Our first one was our trial - used model. It was great for a couple of years, but actually a little tight. Now we have a seperate back room for the teenager when he gets ornery and with a slide the living quarters are spacious. Can't wait till it gets out of the shop and we can camp!!

We had a 24' trailer for two years then after seeing our son's new 5er in 03 we could not stand it and purchased a new 03 Alpenlite 5er. In our opinion the only way to fly.

Came from a Truck Camper and we enjoy having all the room the 5er gives us.

We are on our 9th RV. The 1st was a 1946 Kit Teardrop that we purchased in 1965 from a man that had just towed it from Fla. to Alaska. Our current is our 4th 5th.whl. We are getting smaller units but more slides.

Previously owned Monaco Diesel Pusher, sold it and bought 5th Wheel.
Best choice I've made in a long time.

Actually there should be another choice in the survey... that says "Had some of each"
I have had a couple of truck campers, travel trailers, 5th wheels and one motor home..
Even had a couple of old type canvas tents and today I have three new nylon tents that I take to the wildland fire camps each summer.
My next RV is going to be a 200 foot yacht,,, as soon as California Lottery pays me off.

Can`t vote. Don`t have a 5th... yet.
Bought first RV 3 years ago, 28 foot `84 Rockwood Class C. Everything that went wrong was put in it in 84, except for the refer control board. We have learned a lot.
Next will be a 40 foot New Horizon, pulled by a Volvo 770.

After using a pop up for 20 years, we upgraded to a 5er last year. Wonder if I can get 20 years out of this

Our 5er is our first RV. We did have a 29' sail boat which had to be sold after we bought our 29' Automate. Our Automate was bought used with the idea that we would possibly trade up to a new Automate. 5 Years later we like our Automate so well we see no need for a new 5er. (Yes I know Automate went out of business.)

Id like to see the forum do a comparison test of different fifth wheel kingpin devices ( Mor-ryde rubber hitch, Trailair hitch, etc.), and give an opinion as to what kingpin device offers a smoother ride.

We are first time 5th wheel owners. We had rented from the Navy tent trailers for several years before we made the plunge.
