I haven't used an installed Honda. I have used an Onan and Honda portables. I would depend on the Honda brand far more than any other. That is a rather large gen set and will provide more than you use from shore power. Are you planning on lighting up other campers as well as yourself?

honda generator

i really don't want this monster. it is the new EU6500..DH thinks it is a must have. we have 2 15000 ACs....but i don't think we would neeed to run both...lots of fuel...i would rather move to a park if that is necessary! maybe one air, micro etc. would be okay. HOnda 3000 is nice because of the remote start..but we have one EU2000..I'm thinking add another one if we need to. Anyone else with an opinion?

I suggest you carefully look at the specs on that generator.. I would suggest the second eu2000 .. more flexibility and I would think plenty of power for what you want.
Happy Camping...All the time

I'd get a second Honda 2000 before I tried the big gen set. The 2 Hondas will be able to run an AC and the microwave at the same time.
