Has anyone stored a porta bote under their 5th wheel? I am tring to find a good way of hauling my bote under my 30ft 5er.

We travel with a port-a-bote when we go to FL in the winter. Ours fits over the axels. Then my husband uses tension straps to lift the bote to the bottom of the camper beams. We have made about 5-6 trips this way. We are looking at getting a new camper and some of the new ones are covered underneat - so our system wouldn't work. We had a truck driver friend tell us that we had enough room under the camper for the bote.

Good luck!!

Porta-bote does offer a mounting kit...for about $150...a bit too expensive for what it is....my thought is to manufacture something to store it underneath the rig.

Port-a- Bote

I have two sets of brackets for RV mount one new and one used 8 years.
Not using either one. Boat on top of my MDT.
