Hot water heater by-pass

Where is the hot water heater by-pass valve? There are so many valves in the basement I don't know what goes to what except what is labeled & I can't find one for hot water heater. Thanks.

On our 05 unit it's at the base of the Water heater inside the basement behind the sliding door, it has a long handle that turns 90 degrees. Just rotate to bypass.

It should be the only valve there that has a long (4" to 5") metal handle on it. On our rig it was actually in contact with the black tank hard line going to the dump point. I had to cut off part of the handle as it would turn itself off as we drove. That made for nothing but cold showers. Yours may also be hidden by that black tank piping.
