My plastic lock on the front clothes closet has broken. Seems like I recall someone came up with a different way to lock the doors, I have done a search an had no luck. Anyone recall this????? thanks Bill

Hopefully someone does have a fix for this weak system.

No permanent fix here. What we do is use a long spring rod to hold the doors closed for travel. We'll replace the cheesy plastic locking tabs at the time we sell or trade the unit.

I drilled holes in the base right next to the doors when they are closed and then insert a short metal rod into the holes when we travel.

The fix that was discussed earlier was to use velcro stick on strips. I don't know how it works because I haven't done it, but those that did said it works well.

I have broke ours several times. In fact I just broke another yesterday. I also scratched my arm several times on the sharp corners of those darn plastic latches. I even rounded the sharp corners with a file.
I may drill the holes mentioned earlier and use the rods.

I cut two lengths of PVC and put cane (or crutch) tips on the ends....works great!
