Wiring a 50 amp receptacle
Will be pulling my MS to my home later this year for a few weeks. I'll be staying in coach since my daughter and family lives in my home. I need to wire a receptacle for the rv. Do I simply run 1 leg off a 50 amp breaker and 2nd leg off of neutral? Read some conflicting info on escapees about 50 amp receptacles being able to supply 220 if needed. Don't believe anything in MS 220.

50 amp service
Glenn,
Was in process of answering when you came back saying you figured it out......
I had a concrete pad laid my MS and ran the conduit for the wiring under the pad. If you are putting in something permanent, remember to check for local codes for burying underground electrical wiring. For instance, electrician told me it had to be 18" deep and inside the gray conduit. And the 50 amp boxes are cheaper at Lowes/HD than at Camping World. I also had them wire for 15 amp and 30 amp at the same time.
Joe

I won't be staying at my house very much. We are actually full time in RV. Not really any good money near house. We are always working off. Just now I'm in Virginia and only 5 hours from house. May get some time off in July. Several weeks in December. Yard is very level. Can hook up sewer to clean out. Only real issue is receptacle and got figured out. Wife and I love this lifestyle. Really get to see the country. Hard leaving friends behind but we have a large facebook friends list. lol. Thanks for the info though. God bless.

Is it because the 50 amp receptacle is dedicated or single?

I highly recommend having a licensed electrician do the wiring install. They are covered by liability insurance so if anything goes wrong then they are on the hook. Unless you do your own surgery then don't be stupid and mess with electric, it can and will kill you. A lot cheaper to let a professional do it right!
