Insurance

Well it finally arrived! Our new Mobile Suites arrived at the dealer yesterday and now we are looking for insurance. We are brand new to this lifestyle and could really use some advice. Lots of questions such as what carrier do you use? Do you tell them that you are full timers? Does it matter where the coach is registered at? Are there companies that specialize in full time RV insurance? We just aren't sure how to proceed. My wife got a quote from Gieco for $458.00 for 6 months. This was added to our truck policy. They asked how much we would be using it and she told them about 6 months out of the year, but they wanted to know where it would be stored at when it wasn't in use. She didn't know how to answer that so she told them that she would get back to them on that! any help or advice would be appreciated!
Thank You,
Tracy

You might check with Miller Insurance out of Oregon. (See link below.) They are who we are insured through as a broker. Our best coverage, including full replacement value on the RV, is with National Interstate. Miller Insurance might not be able to help you, depending on which state is your "domicile" state.

In our case, we full-time all year long and have no place that we really call a domicile state other than where we have a physical and mailing address and driver's licenses. For us, that is Colorado. We have our F450 and Mobile Suites on one policy and our Ford Expedition on a separate one.

Ours is covered up to 100K as a ryder on our Farmers truck policy. We still have a home so I am sure that helps. it costs $225 for 6 mo.

We had National Interstate with fulltimer's coverage for several years. We now have Blue Sky insurance, also with fulltimer's coverage, but as you know, it depends on your state residency.
