Call for Scott at:

www.trailertiresandwheels.com

He is good at this type changeover--I got a set of wheels/Michelin XTAs 3 years ago and am very happy with them. He can also supply GY, Cooper and Continentals.

Dick, That's were I got my 17.5 tires and wheels. FedEx freight was $113.30 to Joplin. You are 45 miles from Edon, Ohio. Good people their # 419-272-2277. See you when you get Home.

Dick D--

If you are only 45 miles from Edon, then there is probably no way you will do a better deal on the wheels/tires combo than from them. I live in TX and picked up my set on a trip through the area w/o my trailer. At the time, there was not a 17.5 tire of any brand in stock in the DFW area.

Unfortunately, tire prices have shot up in the last several months--I am shopping for my 450 and its scarey for 19.5s.

Don't know if Scott would want the old set, but I sold mine on Craigslist in about 4 days. The 16" wheels are common bolt pattern/size for equipment trailers--shouldn't have a problem moving them if they are in fair shape.

When I upgraded I sold my old 'G' Goodyear tires & wheels (set of 4) for $600.00 to a fellow that saw them for sale in the rv park.

I have had 2 tread separations on my Goodyear G614's (16"). I recently looked for a good place to find the Goodyear G670's (17.5") and it appears that Goodyear is no longer making them. Now I can't find the site that the comment was on, but I checked Camping World and they don't carry them any longer. Has anyone any more information on this? If I can't get tires I sure don't want to buy the wheels. I emailed the Tires & Wheels people that Wingnut60 referred to, but they did not answer me. That was 3 weeks ago.

I got some at Camping World in December. They gave me the "no longer made by Goodyear, how about these chineese tires?" routine. I went to the Goodyear Truck Tire website and llooked up dealers for 17.5s and Camping World was listed. I contacted Goodyear and asked why a dealer in their website was saying they could not get 17.5 tires. A week later the manager of CW called me to say they didn't usually do 17.5 Goodyears but in this special case they would. New Goodyears were recent dated. (sold the trailer now but I think they were dated something like 4010)

Check the website--www.trailertiresandwheels.com---call them direct.
Unusual to not get an email reply--they have always come back to me within a couple days.

Check some commercial truck tire suppliers for 17.5" tires. They are used on tag axles for heavy loads and are not uncommon like in the RV side of the supply area.

Tires & Wheels.com did a fine job for me. I was staying about 40 miles from their shop in NE Indiana so went by and they mounted them for me on some really cool rims.
At what I thought was a very decent price. So now I have J rated Goodyear's on my Suite.
I also found that it is much quicker to call them, but they did answer their Emails in about 3 days.
Nice people to deal with, and I was able to trade my old tires & rims to them for a nice credit
