F-250 4x4 crew cab question

I settle on an open range 319RLS Thursday. I'm pulling it with a 2015 F-250 super duty 4x4 Crew cab 6.2 V8. The trailer tongue weight is 1240LBS. My question is there room for a 40 gal. gas tank against the cab and still be within the weight guide lines.

Don't have enough weight figures/ratings to say for sure. 40 gal gas will weigh about 260lbs + the tank. Also, you will be limited to brands of tanks if you want to be DOT legal to carry gasoline--Transferflow advertises DOT gas tanks, I believe.
Doesn't your truck already have a 36gal tank?

Sorry, thought they began the larger gas tanks in '15. You might consider the cost of putting the newer tank on your truck.
Still need the rear axle rating/actual weight on your truck as it sits to figure how much wiggle room you have left. A WD hitch is going to be mandatory, and a good one at that.
