Problem with chucking need answers

I have a 2009 MS 32TK3 and I am pulling it with a 2016 Dodge 3500 SWD long bed. I have just recently raised the MS 2.5 " due to the truck being higher and the 5th wheel being low in the back. I also upgraded the wheels and tires to Sailum 17.5". I have my hitch down as low as I could that left me with about 5" above the bed rails. I lifted the trailer by installing the Correct Track system and Lippert said I could not use the Centerpoint air ride system so I got the Equa Flex system. Took it out for a test drive and really bucked and rode terrible. I called Lippert and asked them why I am not able to use the Centerpoint system and they ended up checking with there engineering and they said it would be ok to use the CenterPoint again. I had a hard time understanding why I couldn't use a $1600 Centerpoint system and have to use a $300 Equa Flex system. So I was just out of 2 days of working on it and $300. + bushings and bolts...UGH. Well it still has a fair bit of chucking issues. The truck squats a lot so I am thinking of airbags on the truck. Not sure if this is the trick or not. Any ideas

What hitch do you have?

That is a hell of a lot of weight for a SRW, what are your LOADED weights?

Your trailer suspension most likely has nothing to do with chucking.

Truck "SQUATS" ??? Does it look like this from the side? Or is the rear lower?

Have you towed this RV before the lift with this truck?

17.5" tires on the RV correct? What air pressure are you running?

This is what a loaded truck should look like. This is NOT squat.

Thanks for the reply. The dry weight is 11,500 ish and loaded last summer was mid 14,000 we I scaled it. Before I lifted it it squatted so but now I have rase the 5er so it has more pin weight now. It had some chucking but livable before I raised it and it has now increased some. We are leaving in 5 weeks to the Utah Nalt Parks and want the ride in the best shape I can. This MS is the small one so it is only 33'8" not as bis as the others. I got told by a neighbor that has a Big Country 5er and he told me I need to get the air bags and that should be the answer. I just spent a bunch doing the lifting plus the tiles and 9I have it in the Paint shop getting the front cap upper section due to peeling of the paint so wanted to find out if this would do the trick I or am I wasting my money. SWD is not the issue (well as far as I believe) cause it pulls good and no swaying.

Did you get it aligned after the CorrectTrak install?

Air bags, Sumo springs, etc. will definitely help.

What did it all weigh? You did weigh your truck and then both truck and trailer together...right?
BTW, dry weights are totally meaningless numbers. Same with the hitch weight listed on the side of the trailer....all meaningless.
The only weights that count is the actual weight. So, what is your actual pin weight? Don't forget you and anything in your truck counts toward payload capacity including the hitch itself.

Firestone air bags will help level the squat, and is a cheap fix (?)....but before I did much in the way of modifications, I'd see if I could borrow another same size/weight rig with an air pin box to test with. I pulled a 19K lb 2006 37 TK3, with a SRW 05 3500 4x4 Dodge with no issues (other than stopping), but we had an air pin box,....and I did not have to raise the trailer. We migrated to a HDT with and air hitch...worked well with the air pin box.

I had the same problem with two of my Ford trucks. I installed air bags on both of them and it handled the weight of my 2004, Mobile Suite, 36 foot camper. My first truck was a F250 crew cab long wheel base with 7.3 litter engine 2 wheel drive. My truck I have now is a F350, 4x4, dually, crew cab, long wheel base with the 7.3 litter engine. Very satisfied with the ride and performance.

Chucking is usually a factor of weight not being properly balanced. Pull across some CAT scales and make sure you have 20% pin weight. Next is what others have already mentioned, have enough truck to carry that weight.

Another culprit is the CURT hitch that has it's heads pivot point several inches below the kingpin connection.

I have a Curt hitch and no chucking issue with it. This hitch has been on two other F-350's. Towed a Teton & Voltage Toy hauler in the past. The M.S. I tow now is the heavies of them all.

I had the Correct Track installed by Lippert on my last 5th wheel - a Cedar Creek. All the Correct Track does is provide a cam adjustment to align the rear axles, it will do nothing for chucking. The OEM installed kingpin on my Cedar Creek was a Trail Air with the airbag. My Ford F350 SRW was equipped with Firestone airbags and I changed to the MORryde kingpin and MORryde SRE4000 suspension and the chucking issue was essentially eliminated. Following the MORryde upgrades, the first time I crossed a RR track I could barely feel the trailer behind me. I highly recommend you talk with MORryde and see what options they can offer.
