New first post

New to this forum today which looks almost new it self.
It is not as easy as the Escapees MDT forum or RV NET forum but I am sure it will get better. It is nice to have an edit button now.
A lot of categorys to go thru it will take a will.

I have a HDT and I check the inside duals every day that I drive it. There is no reason the inside tires can't pick up a nail or other problem and be underinflated. If they are they can cause any number of problems. If I were you I'd take the truck to a service center and check the tires condition. I'd also have them install stems that allow you to check and inflate the inside tires on your own. Failure to do so won't make tire problems go away. It's only your life, property and the same for everyone else on the road near you that's at risk if you continue to ignore basic owner maintenance.

Inside Tires

I got some 6in. extentions at HDT tire repair shop last Thurday put them on and check the inside tires both where 105# same as outside and front have been for the last 6 months and 6,000 miles, got to love the Michilins.

I now have called Michilin and got the min. tire presure for my 245x70x19.5 That is 75lbs. on all tires of this size.

I now will run 75#in the rear (the Mim lbs.) that will carry 12840lbs. to
bobtail actual wt. 6.750lbs and pull my 5er when on rear axel load is 9,750

And run in the front bobtail 95lbs. which will carry 8,200lbs actual wt. 7,900 with 5er 100lbs. which will cary 8,540lbs. actual wt.8,200lbs.

I now have an air hose attatch to my air tank for airing up my tires on the road for truck and 5er.

If you would get a PressurePro tire monitoring system you could check the air pressure by pressing a button on the dash of your truck. You could also press the same button to give you the pressure in your 5er tires and you can do it while your moving down the road or setting still. This system will also give you an ALARM if a tire should ever develope a slow leak and go down 12% or more. Real safety item.

Check my web site (in sig) click on PressurePro and read more about it.
