Can’t find battery converter!

We bought a used 2005 DRV 36RS3 and are experiencing voltage drop between the pole and the outlets inside. At the power pole, it is reading 110 but inside outlets only getting around 100V. We have begun troubleshooting, but we can’t find the battery converter. We have looked in every logical place we can think of. Can anyone help us with this?

Did you look behind the sliding doors in the basement compartment?

Thank you for the reply Yes, we checked behind the sliding door on the passenger side. That is where all the wiring comes down into the basement. No luck

Follow the Battery cables to convertor { if you have invertor/convertor unit) only one set of cables. Also what type meter are using to measure AC voltage. Often a cheaper elrctronic meter will give false reading on anything but a pure sine wave. The only valid reading is from a TRUE RMS Meter not to confused with RMS meter.
Clay and I will admit I have limited knowledge the older DRV models equipment.

The battery convertor has nothing to do with the AC voltage. If you have that much voltage drop in a 30 foot AC cord it is probably due to a high resistance connection somewhere, or a bad cord end. 110 Volt at the pole is low to start with.

Convertors turn 120 AC volt into 12 volt DC. Invertors turn 12 volt DC into 120 volt AC.

Some of the earlier DRV's had the convertor mounted under the circuit breaker panel, behind the panel and it just plugged into the back of the panel.

Good luck

Bill

My 07.5 it was behind the sliding doors more in the center. Buried under duct work if I remember correctly.

Porkchop is very knowing about things electrical.
In the '05 Suites I had, the converter was near the center of the basement, just behind the sliding doors. It should be plugged into a 120volt outlet near it that may be more visible.
