DRV Shower Door Swing Bracket

The lower bracket of the shower door on our 2007 MS broke in half during a trip back to Spokane. The good news is that the door is still intact.

My first question is has anyone replaced the entire shower unit in a MS?

My second question is has anyone dealt with a broken bracket?

The bracket appears to be made from pot metal. I think I may be able to repair it by using a piece of reinforcing metal and JB Weld.

Also, do the newer MS still use a shower with the curved door? If so, there may be a chance that I can find a replacement bracket.

"WINGNUT", if you are out there please chime in. We met at Lockhart State Park in Texas.

I believe there is a source for these shower parts, let me search a little. Don't know when the Suites went to a horizontal triple sliding door setup, but no longer have them in the newer models.

Might try this:

Irvine Shade and Door, Inc

I think they supplied the earlier model shower doors?

If not replaceable, take the bracket to a local welder? Might be something to be done that way.

How/where are you nowadays?? We traded the Suites in for a Tiffin MH due to need for an accessible restroom while traveling.

A machine shop could easily make one from aluminum or stainless but might cost a bit. A good welder could also make one but might not look as good. Nobody will see it after it's installed.

We arrived at our summer location yesterday. Wild Rose RV Park between Spokane & Deer Park. Left Yuma 7 days ago and only stops were for fuel (diesel). I used disposable gloves while fueling. So, for the past 7 days we have been in self-isolation. Another 7 days and we should be good.

Fine business on the Tiffin MH. Good Choice!

After 20 years of fulltime we are changing our plan. Not sure what that plan is but we need to make a change.

Take care and stay safe.

20 years of FT--wow, 1000sqft condo might seem like a castle. We started too late to get that many years in. Hope you find the correct answer for the change.
