Electrical Failure

Our 2014 Elite has suffered an electrical failure.

The 12v system from the control panel, hallway, bath, w/d compartment, and bedroom are all down.

!!0 v works.

Living room 12v and 110v are OK.

All breakers are on and no fuses have blown.

can anyone suggest a fix?

Sorry don't know why the 12 volt system is down, if it was the 110 volt My first stop to look would be every ground fault plug in the trailer. On my unit the GFI located out in the water valve box will kill every wall plug in our kitchen. Here in my house the outside wall plug GFI will kill all electrical plugs in my garage and laundry. If they are all reset and it problem still exists I then would start back checking from the fuse box out with a probe to see if I could find a loose wire connection. What items do you have powered by 12 volt along that area?

Electrical Failure

I was too quick to post.

ALL 12v service is down.

A mobile tech is coming soon.

Do the slides go in & out, do the front rams go up and down? If not your converter and batteries may be the problem. Check to see if they are functioning properly. Let us know what you find out.

sprehoda, could you please post what corrects your issue? This along with a couple of other post lately about new units having issues has us second guessing our choice of ordering a new MS. I have now started pricing out Excel's.

Slides work OK.

Battery state of charge is 99%.

Check to see if the switch for battery cutoff inside the jack control door is on?? The slides still work but not much else.

Also there is a resettable circuit breaker by the batteries. It is a 12V CB that should look like a small square silver box. About 1" in size. There is a very small button on it.

These are very common issues on new units to learn about. If no issues there, start with a meter and test battery voltage at the batts and check al connections. With Converter on, the batts should read 13.2 up. If not, the converter may be off, bad, CB popped....

Un plug the RV from the post. Check batts again. They should be 12.6V up. If lower than 12V there is an issue with the batts.

Electrical Failure

The entire 12v system mysteriously started working by itself today. Even the mobile tech could not suggest a mechanism.

The short on the doorlock also went away by itself after mobile tech unscrewed the bottom hinge on the door and jiggled it.

Now a happy camper again.
