No welding for the Xfactor braces. They are well made and if your spring hangars are 3" wide or less they bolt right up. Mine are 3". I ordered disc brakes originally from DRV. The wheel brake assemblies have work great so far. I did need to replace the failed ActiBrake actuator with a Carlisle unit and it performs far better than the original.

Leo,
The reason I ask about welding, are there only 3 bolts on each end of the x-factor braces?
I can see the braces are stong, was wondering if there was more than these bolts.

Once you see them installed it is easy to see how they stabilize the spring hangars. The main attach uses the spring bolt (wet bolt) or the equalizer pivot bolt. Then there is a clamp with two bolts above the spring bolt to give the mount stability. Simple but well engineered for easy installation and still achieve the desired result.

You can see that they are definately strong.
Hopefully our spring hangers are strong enough to support them....lol
I am a little concerned that if one side came loose it could really tear up some stuff.
Am sure that in person you can see that they will be fine.
My 06 and your 07 seem to have mostly the same suspension parts.
Would like to see sometime (If I keep mine) what it cost to do the Disc brakes

Did you get everything put back together on the suspension?

Leo, We would like to see a picture of your new suspension, with weight on it.

It's been done and on the ground for a little while but I haven't had time to tow it. I want to see how the doglegging is. I may still need to do some alignment. Axle to axle alignment is good but both axles to trailer is off according to rough measuring. I'm real happy with the height. I think I gained a little height wihch I needed. The ride... don't know, we'll see.
