Brake pad supplier

This is our first RV with disk brakes. Where would be a good place to start in search for replacement pads/correct size?

Try to find US Made SemiMetallic pads for late 80's Buick Century HD.

Be sure to lube slide bolts and all mating surfaces with proper lube!!!

That is the correct spec if you have the 8k IS System.

I bought these same pads for my 07.5 so I purchased them for my current 16. PIZZED me off the first set was US Made and this as you can see are Mexico.

You can use this NAPA number for a cross reference.

Kodiak switched to ceramic pads in 2014.

They are "CERAMIC LIKE"

Kevin at Kodiak told me to use pads I posted if I want the BEST as they did not sell any quality pads as no one wanted to pay the price!

Ceramic pads are not good for HD applications.

"ceramic like" is a term I haven't seen yet.

Organic (NAO)
semi metallic
ceramic

Each have pros and cons, organic being the least desirable.

Of the two remaining, it is personal preference and application.
They each have differences in performance and neither is the perfect brake pad.

Providing the pads on my trailer are ceramic as claimed by Kodiak, I am satisfied with the actual braking performance. The advantage with trailers is being able to set the gain to your liking. Something you obviously cannot do in a standard vehicle.

The 9/10K rated brakes on this trailer are by far the best performing brakes i have had on any trailer. But, that is only when the wheels are not dragging, the retaining plates aren't bending or the brake lines are not breaking.

Not a 'complaint', rather an observation.
