Obviously, Someone Had a Bad Day

We took our MS into Lewis RV in Oklahoma City this morning to have a couple of little issues taken care of, specifically a back-up camera monitor that won't power up and the recall done on the Xantrex inverter. When we got there, there was a brand new (purchased 9-2-10 according to the "dealer tag") MS 38RLSB3 with a vanity slide parked there as well.

It has the newer colors, so we went to look things over. They had caught the back, driver's side corner of the MS on something and had done some body damage both to the back end of the kitchen slide and the area around the electrical compartment.

We were told that the owner bought it at Howe and brought it home. The owner told Lewis RV that he had made the mistake of using the Love's Country Store auto lanes instead of the truck lanes.

I'll have to remember that.

We've had to use the Auto lanes at some Truck stops. But only when absolutely no other option available. No side swipes yet. Got to take those corners wide.

DH is finishing up a new Love's in Eastern OH and Truck Lanes are built much more accessible when towing.

Expensive lesson learned there! Immediately after taking possession of our custom built 4400 Toter, my first fuel stop was at an F/J and 'as usual' went into the RV lanes without thinking. Had to have the D/W standing behind the rig to tell me when the trailer had cleared those bright coloured steel "bollards" and I could commence my turn to the left. The front of the truck was up on the sidewalk in front of the store before I could turn. Never again; Truck lanes from then on.
