Track Lights

The track lights above our kitchen sink only work when they want to, any ideas for a fix or what to check. I dont know squat about wires. Thanks!!

Good Luck!!!!

I have had mine replaced 3 times now. The first two replacements were with like kind. The third, is another new track and a totally different end plate, using the original light fixtures because the fixtures (which came directly from Nicor this time) were 120v fixtures and the track lighting in the 2005 which I have is 12 volt. Hopefully this last set up with different end plate will hold up. I understand the newer units now have 120 volt power to them and are using 120 volt fixtures.

When removed you could see where there had been arcing or some sort of goings on with the old set up. There has been discussion on this topic before and probably the villain is the end plate on the track. Having said all of this, I have friends who have not had the first problem with theirs.

Ever since Adam ate the apple don'tcha know!!!
