Roof Maintenance

Looking for thoughts on roof maintenance while I have a few weeks before I leave on another trip. The dealership that sold it to me stressed roof maintenance at every level of the buying process from touring different models to when I was closing on the 5er. I appreciated that but I still don’t have an idea of the best route to take on maintenance.

I go up top after every trip and blow it then sweep it before I put it in storage. I walk across the top with a caulking gun in case I see something that looks fishy. I have actually washed it once and put some sort of rubber roof treatment on it but not terribly confident that wasn’t a waste of time.

Any thoughts or habits that will be helpful? I’m not trying to find one more thing to do but their message about taking care of the roof came through loud and clear. Would like to know what works for others.
