De-winterizing the water heater

So, we just bought our lovely MS (2003) from Colorado, have it in B.C. now and can't figure out how to get hot water. We guess that when he winterized, he by-passed the water heater. So, now, how do we de-winterize in order to get hot water? There's 5 valves, my husband doesn't know which to turn which way - help, please!

Otherwise, I love it! Just need hot water!

Betty, I would try giving customer service a call at Double Tree. They have been great at answering all my questions, even after the warranty ran out.

O.K. Just to get water into the heater is the lever valve on the back of the heater at it's bottom inlet but before you change that valve setting push water through the entire rig to flush out the anti-freeze first by opening all taps and the two low point drains to allow fresh water to run through them firstly then open that lever handled ball valve on the back of the heater and one of your hot water taps to allow air to exit the tank and "lastly" ONLY AFTER water comes out of the tap and you are certain that the hot water heater is full of fresh water do you turn on the heater's electric element or propane burner.

A "fail-safe" way to check the existance of water in the water heater is to activate the pressure relief valve at the top of the heater service panel while water is turned on to the rig and you should get a blast of water out of that relief valve if heater has filled adequately.
