Cougar 25res vs Reflection 24rl

Wife and I have narrowed it down to the Cougar 25res or the Grand Design Reflection 150 series 24rl. Our goal is to travel 3-4 months out of the year for the next 4-5 years. I know this is a Cougar forum, but did anyone consider the Reflection 150 series and why did you choose the Cougar over the GD?
TIA
ps: not our first rodeo. we had a Travel Supreme from 02-08 that we really liked but really don't want to drag around a 36' rv again.

Grand Design is a couple grand higher, but you can access the fridge while at a rest stop.

On a whim, the wife and I put a deposit on a GD Reflection 24RL that we happened across at the dealer last week. We both loved everything about it except the kitchen. It’s like your theatre seating is IN the kitchen, but we decided we could live with it. We would like to upgrade our 10 year old Cougar but don’t want to get any larger.
We went back the next day with the F-250 to check the height and there was no way we could fit under it. So we are keeping our 2010 Cougar 26SAB and spending a bit on it. The Keystone 25res does look like a nicer layout from looking at the floorplan?

GMH, can you explain " the F-250 to check the height and there was no way we could fit under it."
All three brands of HD pickups will fit no problem. Why would an RV manufacturer build something that a stock F250 couldn't tow?

My 2017 factory stock F250 is 4wd and quite tall. The Refection 150 series is designed to be able to be pulled by 1/2 tons. In order for me to hook up the trailer it would be nowhere near level. I know somewhat off level is acceptable, and you may even see extremely off level rigs on the road. But for me to have enough clearance over the box to make me feel comfortable, the trailer would need a lift, and it is already spring over axle (I checked) and 12ft tall. The salesman even called their service man out to have a look and he agreed that my truck is not the greatest match for that trailer. Swapping the “turning point” pinbox out could gain me some clearance but would make the off level situation worse.

We are kind of glad the hookup wasn’t optimal. They wanted a pretty good chunk of change for it and the kitchen/LR/kitchen wasn’t ideal. The rest of the trailer was beautiful though!

I think as you are looking at 1/2 ton towable 5th wheels, your not going to find one that fits your truck. Maybe look at 29rs Reflection or something used. Are you trying to stay around 30' or less?
