Hi, Ponch. On our 2003 we replaced factory mattress with a temperpedic Liked it. Was a queen so when got 2009 let it go with trade. We like it. We have a rv king sleep number now and really like it.

Installed the Sleep Number bed from our house in the Mobile Suites. It is a standard King and fits fine and is a pleasure to sleep on.
I bought it originally to pacify my wife but I have to say I sleep better and my low back feels much better too!

We purchased our rig with no factory mattress, opting instead to put the credit towards a good quality queen mattress. Not sure why we decided not to install the Sleep Number we had on the farm, but we went with a name brand that suited us. I recall it was somewhat of a challenge to get the queen up and into the bedroom, not sure if we could have made it with a king size.
Regarding the Sleep Number bed....I have learned that their "pro-rated" warranty leaves a little to be desired...our pump failed, and if I recall correctly, a replacement was going to run over $500. The bed is now in the guest bdrm at our daughters home, and we just use a small, standard air compressor to fill the bed to the desired comfort level when needed.
Regards
Gemstone

Temperpedic here. Doesn't need a box spring and is very nice to sleep on.

When we got the rig we tried the mattress that was in it. After a week we went to a mattress store and looked for one that would fit the rig since it had to slide under the dresser top. We found a pillow top that did the trick. Brand is unknown since the tag has worn off of it. We did go to a regular store and just took the measurements from the old mattress. It wasn't that hard to find the size for our king size bed.

When we ordered our 2010, we had them install the Select Comfort mattress. At the time, DRV was installing the Premium RV Select Comfort mattress that had a thicker pillow top than the standard.
While it is about the same to me, Jo likes the RV Select Comfort better than the home model that we used to have. Our original home mattress was what the called the Extended Queen Select Comfort, and it wouldn't fit in the same area as a Queen size mattress goes.
We really like ours.

We upgraded ours to a residential Qn through Denver Mattress while up in Erie, PA . We opted for the Durango because of the height, but there were others that would have worked as well. It has individually wrapped coils unlike the Doctor's Choice we orginally went to buy.
I noticed last week there's a Denver Mattress store in Charlotte, NC when I was pricing a new pillow. Found they now also carry RV mattress sizes. RV Short Qn 60x75 and RV King 72x80.

We also have a Durango by Denver Mattress in our MS. We also Purchased one for our truck camper when we had that and just bought one for our lake house. I sleep better on that mattress than any I have ever had. Even the DW likes it.

When looking for a replacement mattress make sure to measure you dimensions including height! Based on that you can find which websites have the size options you have. If you are a side sleeper I would suggest soft-medium firmness but if you are a back/stomach sleeper I would suggest something more medium-firm.
I work at RVMattress.com where we offer these options, if you would like specific recommendations based on your sleeping style/preferences let me know!
