New truck set up

Sorry i dont know much about the set up. I run a repossession company and looking to get a chassis truck to haul a 3 car trailer around. it will be used for long out of state runs. We are looking the new dodge 5500. if we get a regular cab truck what frame options would be ideal for this.
60/144.5 84/168.5 108/192.5 120/204.5....i figure the 84/188.5 set up is better for the quad cab over the 60/164.5.... also running the 4.88 ratio with the anti-spin rear and a six speed standard tranny. any suggestions or ideas would very much be apprieciated.

Since you are going to be using it for commercial purposes and subject to inspections I suggest you look at the weight rating of the tow vehicle and the expected weight of the trailer and load. Figure worst case scenario for the trailer and load. Dodge has the lowest ratings of the main manufacturers for load to my knowledge. You will be subject to weight restrictions and need to pass a scale check when loaded. The published weight capacity of the truck will be the limiting factor for what load you can tow. If you exceed it figure on some rather serious penalties due to your commercial application.

Changing components, especially after market ones, will not raise your tow rating. Only the factory is authorized to change the rating. You will need to make sure you do not exceed the GCVW rating as well as tire and axle load ratings for the truck.
