Time to replace the original Sony system....I'm searching for something that will slide into the poorly designed cabinet next to the TV. Don't know why an engineer would design a cabinet with a max size between the stiles of 16", when most equipment I can find is 17"+. You can't remove the equipment without tilting it, and you can't cable it once it's in place....plain stupidity. You can't move the stile between the TV space and the Stereo space without resizing the cabinet door....something I'd rather not do. I want to build a shelf on drawer slides so you can slide it out to see behind it and cable it. The existing receiver and DVD is just shy of 17" wide, I would need something less than 16" to be able to use drawer slides. I can find a 12" CD/DVD, but I'm having trouble finding a receiver to fit.
Anyone find a replacement that will fit ?
