Help Please.
In November, we bought this rig to take up to Alaska to be our fishing home during salmon season. We hastily put it in storage in Oregon and returned to our home in Honolulu, HI. Starting to think of projects that we would like done before we tow it from Portland, OR to Soldotna, AK.
#1. Change out dual compartment porcelain sink to single stainless. Need the measurements to be able to search out a replacement. Has anyone done this?
#2. Install hard wired Progressive Industries 50 amp surge guard. Where is the best place to install it in my rig?
#3. Make side walls to hang from the main awning for protection from the elements. Can someone give me the length of their awning?
Any suggestions/DIY links would be greatly appreciated for any of these projects.
Thank you in advance.
Lloyd

I installed the same unit on the back wall (wall opposite door not back of trailer) of the electric cord compartment. Was easy to do and plenty of room to the aft of the cord connector box. It came with a remote monitor that I mounted next to the unit. I just check it each time I plug in. It could be mounted inside but I didn't see the need to run the cable (phone cord).

Guess mine is/was just like anijet--mounted it in the power cord storage compartment. Had to move the cord conn box toward the rear and mounted the PI box to left of it.
I said 'was' as I just traded today for a 2015 38RSSA.

Thank you very much for your replies. It is comforting to know that it is a relatively easy task. I will tackle it in spring when it starts warming up in the Pacific NW.

The hardest part is working with the 50amp cord copper strands--very stiff stuff--inside of the PI box at the connections.

Use stranded wire if possible, much easier!

Congrats on the new rig!!!

Thanks, just got it home today. RR didn't have any used ones coming in, but found this one at KS RV Ctr, the former NuWa factory.
Probably going to have some questions 'bout all these new gadgets...
And the 50amp power cord IS stranded--still hard to work.

If your cord is separate I would look into building your own SO 6/3 & 8/1 cord with the yellow Camco ends. Then sell what you have.
