DRV parts for slide out

:( We purchased our MS on 8-11 at a DRV dealer in Ocala Fl, After the dealership keeping it 2 weeks to fix moter in the awning and some paint touchup we took it home. We put the slides out to pack and realised the BD slide was not closing properly. We never used the MS. We returned the MS to dealer immediatly and now (over 5 weeks later ) we still do not have the MS fixed. Dealer has been going back and forth with DRV and DRV's supplier. Wrong info was sent either by dealer or DRV we have had nothing but run around. Has anyone else had the run around with DRV trying to get parts for Slides?????

The single largest section of this site is the DRV section, mostly because of the shortcomings of the products. Welcome to the group of DRV owners with problems. It's a large but friendly group.

You might just want to get personally involved in the talks with the factory. I'd suggest you get the latest word / excuse from the dealer then contact the factory and start asking questions. That usually tends to kick things into a higher level of operations and gets results. I will say that as long as you are in warranty, the factory is pretty responsive.

Later on you might want to check out the DRV section of the website and say hi.

Not knowing exactly what is wrong with your slide, I was visiting with a rep from factory who said the original electric motors were too small to handle the weight--fix is to install new larger motors. Not sure why DRV/dealer would not know this if it is the problem. May be to simple, or not your exact situation.
And, as Motor31 said, you should talk to DRV direct--they are very aware of this problem as I have talked to several new owners with same deal.

I would call Chad Olinger at DRV. He is the Customer Service, Warranty Manager. If the Dealer is the problem, work with DRV to take the rig to another repair shop.
