2009 Doubletree Line to start soon ?

I was told by a Doubletree Dealer that the 08 models orders are cut off. Any new trailers built will be 2009's. Has anyone else been told this ?

2009 production

It makes sense to me. When we ordered our '06 in March 06, we were close to the cut-off date.

Dunno hear too .... does it make much difference? The model I'm getting is the first to a buyer (one other was built) so is it a 200 or 2009? Seems the only thing they really change for model years is the exterior paint scheme and interior design colors. Most other changes usually come out as they are approved by the engineers and bean counters.

I know that in '05, my build date was July 29 and I got one of the last 2005's delivered to dealer on Aug. 5th. Around August they started production of the 2006 model.
Sounds a tad early to me, however given the state of "flux & flack" we live in today who knows!!!!!!!!

I just received a PM from wannabe who is a factory rep from Doubletree telling me that they are still taking orders for 2008's. The rep that my dealer spoke to on Friday must have been mistaken. It's good news because I want a 2008.

If they are following the same schedule they were using in 05, the production of the current year models will continue until the end of July or the very beginning of August. Order dates must be 10 to 12 weeks before that point as that is the construction time period they claimed they needed for the rigs to fit the order into the production line. Now that they are doing 3 different models it may take even more scheduling time if they can't produce them each simultaneously.

We ordered ours in March and it was ready for shipping about the 1'st of August and we were able to take delivery on the 5th. The dealer was 200 miles away from the factory.

My understanding over the last few years is that August is turnover time.

Doubletree really needs to have their website updated as soon as they have new plans and model changes!

Quote from Escapees forum posted last night by "thisisliving":

He has ordered the MS new 2 bedroom plan 40 DB3.

"It is a brand new floorplan, it's not on their web site yet. I beleive we have ordered their first retail unit. But from the floor plan I have seen, it has a couch & dinette slide, the other slide has the 2 chairs, then the TV is on the back wall, with a door into the 2nd bedroom.
The front of the coach, is the same as their other models.

Mobile Suite 40 DB3 on order"

Now that is just wrong! Our new Elite was delivered to the dealer yesterday! I have been begging for a bigger Suite and no one ever mentioned this to me.
