Hello from Round Rock, Texas

This is a new adventure for my wife and I. We are still in the research phase and look forward to assistance from others!

Have done some camping with friends.
It is just going to be me the wife and our lab with the grandkids every now and then.
It is just confusing trying to figure out things like do you go with model A because it has bigger tanks than model B?
We have narrowed our search down but it is still a work in progress!
I know we will be getting something that is 35' + because of mandatory requirements - ie residential fridge, washer / dryer to name just a few!

Well, it is great to be out and away from the city with wife and dog--really relaxing, if you have the right rig.
Large tanks aren't needed, unless you are going to try camping without hookups.
50amp service is a necessity. Be careful of tires and wheels--a lot of mfgs only put on the bare minimum required to carry the weight on the axles, with little margin for error/wear and tear on the tires. Disc brakes/17.5" tires are a big help in avoiding blowouts and stopping easily.

Welcome Fellow Texans

We are from the DFW Metroplex and are always happy to see other Texans.

If you are new to RVing, I suggestion starting here. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuf...iR6N8thiVGuiMw

It gives all kinds of suggestions as well as showing how to empty the tanks, back, and other necessities. A fun part of the channel is the Oops playlist. We are happy to let you learn from our mistakes. The funniest one is Night Rider about our first trip in the RV.
