Hyd Slide not extending

Wanted to share a fix on Hyd slide issue we have had off and on for the past few years.

The Door side slide would not extend consistently every time. Some times no matter what sequence we used it would only move a foot and slow and stop, just the pump running and no movement. It would retract normal. Sometimes if we extended the other 2 slides it would go out, or retract the off door slide it would go. But not always. It was getting worse and to the point it had to be helped several times.

I had swapped the hoses on the module block to eliminate the valves solenoids. Thought it was air in system, bled it many times. Just was happening when it felt like it.

We were at Indiana Interstate a week or so ago and Paul Cross said its the "Ram". He has seen this before many times. So, a new ram went in and it has no caused an issue since. We must have had it in and out 20 times or more since.

Leaking/bypassing inside on the extend side internal seals would be the cause.

Hope it helps someone out there with a similar issue.

Bill

Thanks Bill. The last time I put the door side slide out it was very slow.
